(Business in Cameroon) - DIT, the concessionaire of the container terminal at the Douala Port, organised on 28 April 2016 in the Cameroonian economic capital, the 10th edition of the Global Safety Day, on the day celebrating the World Day for Health and Safety at Work. A good opportunity for the management of this company to reiterate their commitment to safety on their installations, for the staff and the users.

“Since the start of our operations on 1 January 2005, we have never had a fatal accident, thanks to God first, and to the security measures implemented by DIT”, Hamadou Sali, Chairman of the Board of the company, commended before reminding that “security is an absolute priority for DIT shareholders. It is non-negotiable!”

Therefore, we learned, DIT implemented a series of measures meant to further secure its activities, its partners and its installations. This is how since last year, as recalled by Jacob Sidenius, the Managing Director, 136 employees have been trained to identify risks, over 560 external drivers have taken the commitment to respect the security rules imposed by DIT, and about 3,000 visitors received an “introductory training on safety”.
