Convention to Boost Cocoa, Cocoa Production

(Business in Cameroon) - The Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development and the Cocoa and Coffee Development Fund, (FODECC) have reached an agreement to boost the production of these cash crops in the country.

Minister Essimi Menye and Théodore Ebobo, President of the management committee of the fund signed the agreement in Yaounde on Tuesday October 22, 2013.

Target is to produce 600,000 metric tons of cocoa and 35,000 metric tons of Arabica coffee and 125,000 metric tons of Robusta coffee by 2020.
