(Business in Cameroon) - Electricity Development Corporation (EDC), the national company in the electricity sector in Cameroon, set aside a budget for investments and project monitoring, of FCfa 65.6 billion for 2016, we learned in an official communiqué confirming the Board meeting held on 21 January.

Among the projects to be led by EDC this year, there is the completion of the construction works on the Lom Pangar reservoir dam, which delivery is scheduled for July 2016; as well as the construction of an associated plant with a production capacity of 30 MW. Also planned for this year, the launch of the construction works of a 120-km long electricity transfer line, to supply villages of the Eastern region with electricity.
