SITRACEL absorbs its subsidiary Sita Industry

(Business in Cameroon) - Société industrielle de traitement de cellulose (SITRACEL), whose registered capital is CFA2.45 billion, announced that it absorbed its subsidiary Sita Industry on June 26, 2018.

In accordance with the regulatory texts, two copies of the legal notice were sent to Yaoundé court of first instance. With this absorption, SITRACEL, already known in Cameroon thanks to its brand "Faytex", is taking control of Sita, a company which manufactures reams of paper, exercise books, and notepads.  

Established in October 1978 with a registered capital of CFA50 million, SITRACEL is a public limited company specialized in the transformation, manufacturing, commercialization, and distribution of Cellulose-based hygiene and sanitation products.

Based in Yaoundé, it has representations in Congo, Gabon, Chad, the Central African Republic and in Equatorial Guinea. Its Douala-based subsidiary manufactures rolls of toilet paper as well as table and kitchen cloths.
