(Business in Cameroon) - Société des palmeraies de la ferme suisse (Spfs), Cameroonian subsidiary of Socfin, informs that in 2017, it realized CFA123.3 million profits against CFA12.9 million in 2016. This performance is mainly due to an increase in the company’s production (50 tons per day) and during the period under review, it commercialized 5,429 tons of refined olein. The agribusiness informs that it can afford to levy 10% of distributable profit in favor of the sole shareholder which is Socapalm, another subsidiary of Socfin.  Let’s remind that Société des palmeraies de la ferme suisse is active in the production, transformation, and commercialization of refined palm oil. One of its brands is Palm'Or.

Since 2004, it has been investing to modernize the refineries in Edea (the Coast) and improve the performances.

A stearin-based biofuel production unit was also inaugurated in 2007 to equip the company with an environmentally friendly fuel for its machinery.
