(Business in Cameroon) - British oil and gas company Tower resources announced on May 13, 2019 that the drilling operation on the Thali block initially scheduled for this month has been postponed to July 2019.

The company said it has received additional data from the original wells which indicate that further site preparation work will be required before the rig is moved to site. According to production sharing contract signed in September 2015 with Cameroon’s national hydrocarbons corporation SNH, the British company could invest about XAF24 billion to operate the Thali block over a 7-year period. The license covers 119.2 km2 in offshore Cameroon.
