(Business in Cameroon) - Following the oversubscription of the CFA150-million bond recently issued on the Douala Stock Exchange (DSX), the Cameroonian treasury will submit a request to the financial markets commission (CMF) to obtain the additional amount subscribed, sources said.

This said, instead of the initial amount, the government now wishes to collect CFA200 billion to benefit from the additional CFA50 billion made available by investors. Sources said the exact money is CFA206 billion.

The request, according to the regulations, will have to include a new list of projects to be financed with the additional funds requested. Let’s mention that the initial budget is intended to finance some 40 ongoing projects in the country, mainly those related to the organization of the AFCON 2019 in Cameroon.
