Cameroon : Paul Biya invited for the First edition of Paris Peace summit

(Business in Cameroon) - Emmanuel Macron the French head of state invites his Cameroonian peer Paul Biya to the Paris Peace Summit to be held on November 12-14, 2018. This was revealed, on August 2, 2018, by Gilles Thibault,

The ambassador declared that during the meeting, he discussed the peace summit initiated by Emmanuel Macron with Cameroon’s president.

The said summit, which will be held after the commemoration in the framework of the 100th anniversary of the end of World War I, will allow world leaders to reflect on the conditions for lasting peace.

According to the French presidency, this first edition will be the opportunity for discussions and debates as well as experience sharing. They will also seek innovative solutions to peace, security, environment, development, new technologies and inclusive economy problems.

France invited a hundred heads of states and according to Gilles Thibault, “Cameroon is expected”.
