Business people in Cameroon have been urged to contribute for Telefood 2013 so as to raise enough money to feed the country’s malnourished.
Agriculture and Rural Development Minister, Essimi Menye, Friday October 18, 2013 pleaded with the business people to chip in their quota for the contribution to be launched in Douala on November 27, 2013.
The Minister said that 80 million CFA francs was collected last year and will be sent to the United Nations Food and Agricultural Organisation (FAO) that supports activities and projects in boosting agricultural yields.

According to Cameroon Tribune, the meeting was to look at the state of preparedness and to come up with the final list of business people to represent the country at the forum. Minister Nganou Djoumessi is reported to have said that the only condition to fulfill was to submit a matured project that can win the hearts and minds of investors in Geneva.
Organised under the theme, “Geneva and Africa: the new win-win”, the 9th edition of the Ema Invest Forum will bring together stakeholders in Africa’s economy, businesspersons and Swiss investors.
