(Business in Cameroon) - According to figures recently revealed by Système d’information de filières (SIF), a system that provides updated information about the coffee and cocoa sectors, farm gate prices for cocoa beans in production basins in Cameroon has reached a maximum of XAF1,250 per kilogram on November 21, 2019. At the beginning of the month, it was XAF1,220.

This XAF30 increase in the country's production basins comes at the end of the rainy season and announces an improvement in end-of-year sales.

These prices reflect the growth in demand, with the arrival of new processors in the country.

One of those processors is Neo Industry, which launched its activities in the Western region, and Atlantic Cocoa, which is preparing to launch its operations in the industrial zone of Kribi deep seaport in the Southern region.
