(Business in Cameroon) - 12 families came to meet Roger Moses Eyene Nlom, Governor of the Central Region, for their compensation last Monday June 17. Their land was expropriated on the site to house the ceremony of the foundation stone for the Yaoundé-Douala highway, according the French language daily, Mutations.

213 million Francs CFA, the money divided according to the size, degree of development and value of land in question. Cheques distributed last Monday ranged between 53,000 to 114.19 million FCFA.

To support these people, account opening facilities are available to them in a local bank. And according to Marcel Ndzengue Bibi, manager of this financial institution, beneficiaries would receive their money on Tuesday, 18 June 2013.

Meanwhile, on the ground, survey on the first 10 kilometres of the highway continues. And, the Committee should make a copy of its report in the coming days for another phase of compensation.
