(Business in Cameroon) - Through its online payment service, British Vodafone just launched in Cameroon, the purchase of internet credit via Visa card or MasterCard.

“Through this service, we now offer the possibility to our customers, who may so desire, to top up their Vodafone Internet accounts, without having to look for a reseller, wherever they may be and at any time of the day or night, to do so provided they have a Visa or MasterCard bank card. Irrelative to their issuing bank”, explains the Marketing Director of Vodafone Cameroun, Izouma Sidibé.

To benefit from the service, the user must download the application “MyVodafone”. According to Izouma Sidibé, the useful features of this application (web or mobile) enable the customer to remain in control of their spending, while being active. The user can therefore check their data usage, the remaining balance, easily and instantaneously top up their credit online with a Visa/MasterCard bank card.

Launched in Cameroon on 23 September 2016, Vodafone has a special LTE offer which has already enabled it to register over 15,000 clients on its network. With an initial investment of approximately USD 40 million (about FCfa 23.36 billion) in the roll-out of an ultra-modern network, the telecoms group indicates, these premium services are for the moment only available in Douala and Yaoundé.
