Cameroon: Tourism and travel industry to generate 130,000 additional jobs over the next 10 years

(Business in Cameroon) - In 2017, the number of jobs in tourism and travel sector stood at 257,000. The figure is set to grow further by 5.3% over the current year, statistics from World Travel & Tourism Council (WTTC) showed.

According to the organization, jobs within this industry will increase by an average 3.6% a year to reach 387,000 in 2028. This implies additional 130,000 jobs over a 10-year period, 2.8% of directs employments registered in the country WTTC said.
