(YANGO) - H.E. Mahamat Paba Salé, Cameroon Ambassador to Russia since 2008, was hosted by Yango in its Moscow HQ. Ambassador congratulated Yango on the investments made in Cameroon - the service was successfully launched in the country in November 2021 and now operates in two major cities, Douala and Yaounde, helping to transport thousands of passengers every day.

Ambassador applauded Yango smart technologies that digitized urban transportation making it more affordable, safe and easy to find. At the same time he appreciated that Yango, an information service, designed by thousands of IT-engineers, gives its local partners (transportation companies) opportunities to create jobs for hundreds of drivers, increasing safety in the industry and improving the country’s investment climate. His Excellency noted: “I approve of Yango efforts and appreciate its benefits for the development of the country's transport infrastructure. I am convinced that the brand should continue investing in Cameroon and bring the latest technologies that change people's daily lives.”

H.E was referring to Yango's self-driving car innovative tech that he tested during his visit. Yango self-driving cars have already been operational in the USA and Israel, while the company has produced several hundred of these vehicles that are capable of navigating the most difficult urban traffic environments thanks to the Yandex in-house developed innovative technologies of machine learning, computer vision and many more.
