(Business in Cameroon) - Cameroon’s public airline company Camair-Co is satisfied with its seat-occupancy rate during S1, 2018.

Indeed, according to the company’s general directorate, it transported 150,000 passengers during the period under review. “Sometimes, there is seat shortage”, reveals Ernest Dikoum (photo), Camair-Co’s director. He expects that the company’s performance this year will be better than that in the previous year in which they transported 235, 686 passengers (this represents an increase by 94% compared to 2016 )

According to the director, this demonstrate that Camair-Co’s seat-occupancy rate has been improving recently. In January, the rate for domestic flights was 68% but 54% in June. The seat occupancy for regional flights (to seven African countries) was 33% in January 2018 and 26% in June. One of the important aspects on which Camair-Co is working is the punctuality despite a drop in the performance. In January, it was 67% but in June, it is 44%. The regularity of its flights is also in constant improvement (54% in January 2018 and 77% in June 2018).
