(Business in Cameroon) - Madlyn Cazalis, the company founded a couple years ago by the young Cameroonian entrepreneur, Christian Ngan (photo), has just set up a cosmetics production plant, the CEO announced.

The facility, located on the road to Mfou, near Yaoundé, covers 2,000 m² and currently has 30 employees. Total investment is about CFA1.2 billion, including both equity and fund raised.

In 2019, Madlyn Cazalis' new plant is expected to grow further in terms of production capacity and reach about 200 employees, Christian Ngan said. As well, from 2020 onwards, additional investments are planned in order to “improve operations and develop international expansion”.

For the time being, Madlyn Cazalis distributes 25 products through 200 outlets in Cameroon. The company is also present in Libreville (Gabon), has a partner network in a dozen countries, particularly in Africa and Europe, and aims to enter the Ivorian market in the short term. “We have even shipped products to Hong Kong,” stressed the young promoter, who has been featured several times in the “100 African leaders of tomorrow” Choiseul ranking.

With Madlyn Cazalis, Christian Ngan was also rewarded during the first edition of the "Startupper of the Year" challenge in 2016. He was ranked 3rd in this competition organized by the multinational oil company Total, behind Alain Nteff promoter of GiftedMom, and Olivier Madiba, promoter of Kiroo Games. The latter launched the very first video game made in Cameroon, called Aurion.
